“The LiftMaster LA400 and LA400 Dual plug in gate openers are rated by Gate Crafters for gates between the lengths of 10 and 14 feet. This kit includes your choice of control box enclosure as well as your choice of transmitter. The arm on the LiftMaster LA400 features a lockable release that allows you to unlock the arm and manual operate your gate. The motor on the LA400 is approximately 2 and 1/4 inches in diameter and about 4 inches in length. The worm drive transmission on the LA400 features gears that are made of stainless steel and brass. This transmission spins a shaft that controls both the limit switches and screw drive. The shaft that spins the screw drive rides on sealed ball bearings. This gate opener has 3 limit switches. Two of the limit switches tells the control board when the arm is either in the open or closed position and the 3rd limit switch tells the gate opener when the gate is unlocked. One downside of this type of limit switch, is that they are prone to contamination. At some point in time, these limit switches may need to be replaced due to dirt getting inside of them. The LiftMaster LA400 is available with your choice of control board enclosures. The larger control board enclosure can house a larger battery and is easier to wire. The larger control board enclosure can hold two 12 amp hour batteries, which you provide. The standard control board enclosure comes complete with 2 7 amp hour batteries. Each enclosure comes with the same control board, that has all the necessary plugins for the accessories you wish to use. This control board is compatible with various accessories such as: exit loops, locks, entry devices, safety devices, exit wands, and edge devices. Gate Crafters gives you the option to choose the transmitter that you want. When you order your LiftMaster LA400 from Gate Crafters, you have the option of choosing either LiftMaster transmitters or Estate Swing transmitters. When you choose the Estate Swing transmitters you will be able to easily add on other great inexpensive Estate Swing accessories such as wireless key pads. Also the Estate Swing transmitters are less expensive than the LiftMaster transmitters. We have also successfully tested the Estate Swing transmitters up to 1400 feet away from the receiver.

Loyal Customer Eric S. from Crimmins Construction I bought the opener to install on my one of my costumer's gates that we built for their home. I was a little paranoid when she and her 2 year old son came out and watched the whole setup process. But, to my surprise, this was the first opener I have installed and it took no time at all to get it fully operational. The manual was very easy and it just took a few steps to set it up. It is working great now. Thanks, LiftMaster and the people at Gate Crafters. You made my life easy with the ease of ordering and install.
